The Budget Committee of the Commission will consider the consent calendar on this agenda at 2:00 p.m. at 101 Grove. The Budget Committee Consent Calendar consists of two sections. The first section is for items that will be considered for approval. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Budget Committee so requests. The second section consists of items that will be for discussion and approval.

Consent Calendar items that have been recommended for approval by the Budget Committee will be acted upon by a single roll call vote of the Health Commission. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Health Commission so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item.

3) PROPOSED ACTION: APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT CALENDAR OF THE BUDGET COMMITTEE

3.1 AIDS Office-HIV Health Services – Request for approval of a renewal contract with Westside Community Mental Health Center, in the amount of $6,690,227, which includes a 12% contingency, to provide Centers of Excellence services to individuals who are affected by HIV/AIDS, for the period of March 1, 2007 through August 31, 2011 (4.5 years).

3.2 DPH-STD Prevention & Control – Request for approval of a retroactive renewal contract with UCSF – Stonewall/Magnet Project, in the amount of $128,800, which includes a 12% contingency, to provide STD & Syphilis testing and treatment to gay men and other men who have sex with men, for the period of January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 (1 Year).

3.3 DPH-Policy & Planning – Request for approval to retroactively accept and expend funds from the California Department of Health Services, Emergency Preparedness Office, for the project entitled HRSA Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program, Year 5 Funding, in the amount of $448,960, for the period of September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007.

3.4 AIDS Office-HIV Health Services – Request for approval of a renewal contract with Westside Community Mental Health Center, in the amount of $470,400, which includes a 12% contingency, to provide out patient mental health services to individuals who are affected by HIV/AIDS, for the period of March 1, 2007 through August 31, 2010 (3.5 Years).

3.5 AIDS Office-HIV Prevention – Request for approval of a retroactive contract with Catholic Health Care West – St. Mary’s HIV Care Program, in the amount of $686,296, which includes a 12% contingency, to provide integrated HIV primary care services to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, for the period of July 1, 2006 through December 31, 2007 (1.5 years).
