Resolution:

Authorizing the Use of the Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility As Collateral In a Lease Financing Arrangement for the 911 System, November 4, 1997

WHEREAS, the electorate of the City and County of San Francisco ("City") authorized the City to enter lease financing arrangements to finance the acquisition and construction of a Citywide Emergency Radio Communication System ("Project"); and,

WHEREAS, the City has determined the use of certain Police, Fire and Health facilities in such lease financing arrangements shall provide the City with the most economical method of financing the Project; and,

WHEREAS, the City proposes to use the Mental Rehabilitation Facility as one of the leased assets in the lease financing arrangements; and,

WHEREAS, the Mayor's Office requests the Health Commission to approve the use of this asset in the proposed financing; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Health Commission hereby authorizes the use of the Mental Rehabilitation Facility in the proposed financing, provided that such financing is approved by the Board of Supervisors; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Interim Director of the Health Department is hereby authorized and directed to take such actions necessary to consummate the matters contemplated by this Resolution.
