San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center Birth Center: Visiting Policy Helpful LinksVisiting hours for the unit are from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. During labor, family and support people may be with you. A maximum of 3 visitors at a time may come into the patient’s room. A comfortable waiting room is available for visitors to stay. Overnight stay for your partner or a support person while in labor is encouraged. Specific policies regarding visitors will be explained in detail during you prenatal care.
