Birth Center: Breastfeeding Support Services

Breastfeeding Support Services offers in-patient lactation counseling Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.. In addition, we offer outpatient appointments, coordinate consults with the pediatric newborn visits in our Pediatric Clinic, refer patients to prenatal classes, and postpartum support groups in our Women’s clinic. To schedule an appointment, please call 206-6455.

Breastfeeding Support Services also trains all of our inpatient Birth Center and Nursery nurses in breastfeeding teaching and management techniques as well as offering ongoing trainings for our physicians and advanced practice nurses.

We maintain a breastfeeding advice line, 206-MILK, for our patients and providers.
