Nutrition Education Services to Early Childhood & Community Based Organizations in San Francisco

RFP 08-2019 The San Francisco Department of Public Health, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting proposers that have expertise in Nutrition Education Services to Early Childhood Settings and Community Based Organization Settings.

 

The overall purpose of this RFP is to award funding to organizations to implement SNAP-Ed (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education) through direct education, partnerships and coalitions, community engagement and Policy System and Environment (PSE) change interventions in San Francisco. Awardees must work with “SNAP-Ed eligibles” which is a label that refers to the target audience for SNAP-Ed, specifically SNAP participants and low-income individuals who qualify to receive SNAP benefits (known in California as CalFresh) or other means-tested Federal assistance programs such as Medicaid or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. It also includes individuals residing in communities with a significant low-income population. SNAP-Ed strategies should use public health approaches and be evidence-informed or evidence-based as well as innovative.

 

The Scope of Work is used as a general guide and is not intended to be a complete list of all work necessary to complete the project.
