Request For Proposals (RFP) 28-2019
Telephone Answering Services

 

RFP 28-2019 The San Francisco Department of Public Health’s (SFDPH) San Francisco Health Network (SFHN) is soliciting proposals from interested firms to provide medical answering services.

 

Multiple sections in SFDPH have practical and regulatory needs to respond to calls from patients, medical providers, laboratories, or agencies outside of their typical operating hours. Each of these sections has a protocol for SFDPH staff to be available on call to respond to urgent medical questions or lab results. SFDPH is seeking a partner to receive the initial calls and implement protocols to connect patients, labs, medical providers, or agencies with on-call SFDPH doctors as well as to provide translation services as needed. The appropriate medical answering service partner will be Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant and will be able to issue monthly reports on the time elapsed from an incoming call to the time a SFDPH provider connects with the patient.
