Tertiary Care Services for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG)

RFP 5-2020  The City and County of San Francisco (City), acting by and through the San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH), doing business as San Francisco Health Network (SFHN), is soliciting applications to provide Tertiary Care Services for the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG), which is owned and operated by the City. Applicants’ qualifications will be evaluated through the process described in Section V (Evaluation and Selection Criteria) of this RFP. No applicant shall have any legal or equitable right or obligation to enter into the contract or to perform the work as a result of such applicant being chosen as a qualified candidate.

ZSFG is the City’s public, acute care hospital and only Level I Trauma Center. As of the beginning of FY20-21, it is budgeted to operate 295 beds, and operates the City’s busiest Emergency Department. Additionally, ZSFG operates high volume hospital-based primary care and specialty outpatient clinics.

SFHN, through this RFP, is requesting qualified applicants to provide Tertiary Care Services to patients as referred and authorized by ZSFG who are under the San Francisco County Medical Assistance Program (CMAP), the Healthy San Francisco program (HSF), or the San Francisco County jail health program. The services sought are highly specialized Inpatient and Outpatient services not provided at ZSFG on a 24/7 basis.
