RFQ 31-2020 The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), Behavioral Health Services (BHS), is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify agency/organization applicants to provide a Community Mental Health Certificate Program for unserved and underserved students. SFDPH/BHS is seeking an agency/organizational applicant(s) that has experience developing and providing services in college and/or university settings and experience working with undergraduate level students for a “whole student approach.” This project will be a part of MHSA’s Workforce Development, Education and Training (WDET) Programs.
The proposed program must encompass the following factors:
Deliver an effective behavioral health workforce development program that delivers outcomes determined by the selected agency and SFDPH/BHS Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) program.
A curriculum that includes a) career exposure and placement; b) academic support; c) wellness/wrap around services; and d) workforce development opportunities.
Establish, operate and manage behavioral health internship placements with local mental health/ behavioral health industry partners for Mental Health Certificate Program students. Participate in ongoing collaborative efforts with SFDPH/BHS administration to develop, implement and manage this proposed workforce development program.
