Back Injury Prevention & Upper Extremities Body Mechanics Training

A one hour course covering basic back and upper extremities (shoulders, neck, arms, hand and wrists) body mechanics. Topics covered include:

  • Recognizing Injury Risk Factors
  • Ways to Protect Your Upper Extremities
  • Good Lifting Techniques

Course content is appropriate for workers interested in general body mechanics training to provide a good foundation for approaching the physical demands of their job duties safely.  The course does not address patient lifting techniques.


2017 Class Schedule

  • March 7th (Tuesday) – 10 am – 11am
  • June 8th (Thursday) – 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm
  • September 20th (Wednesday) – 9:30 am – 10:30 am
  • December 5th (Tuesday) – 2 pm – 3 pm

 

Classes are held at 101 Grove Street, Room 220.  Additional classes may be provided at other locations with a minimum of 10 employees attending, and the host department providing a meeting location appropriate for the training.  

Enroll in the class by completing the Back Injury Prevention Training Class Enrollment Request form.
