- Training
The SF Department of Public Health has created two online trainings to help build capacity in our systems of care and to better serve transgender and non-binary patients. These are foundational to ALL our work in Public Health:
Monthly Gender Consultation Group
Every second Tuesday of the month starting at 11AM - 12:30PM
Consultation group is via Zoom. Please email GenderHealthSF@sfdph.org to inquire about joining.
Presurgical Assessment Trainings
Annual training on completing a Presurgical Assessment for mental health providers including WAPTH SOC7, case studies, and review of key components of PSAs, including informed consent, medical necessity, surgical readiness and stability.
Gender Affirming Surgery and Care Education Trainings
Gender Health SF works with a robust team of surgeons in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Our surgeons and providers are excited to bring gender-affirming surgery and procedural education and pre and post-operative care education to providers and patients. Please reach out to GenderHealthSF@sfdph.org to be added to our list serve for upcoming events.
Gender Health SF Capacity Building
If you are interested in building capacity for your department and/or organization, please contact Gender Health SF to discuss. We may be able to assist with referrals, resources and possibly provide training or in-services. Training capacity includes: Trans-Cultural Humility 101/102, Gender Health SF In-service, Presurgical Assessment training, and other clinically focused trainings.
