Kindergarten Screening Program

The Kindergarten Screening Program provides the opportunity for every kindergarten student in the San Francisco Unified School District to receive a dental screening.

The goals of the program are to determine the oral health status of kindergarten children in San Francisco's public schools, identify children with untreated dental decay, initiate access into dental care and obtain a dental "home" and conduct a collaborative activity with the private practice community.

The screenings are provided by local dentists at the child's school during regular school hours.
